The Iron Chef [Mission]

Taking a mission?! this was a simple task for Lycca Noel! Completing the task? That was a story all to its own. Last few missions had been failures, of which someone had to fish her out of. Luckily, this was a mission she really couldn't fail unless she killed everyone and it required 0 magic talent! She was so lucky and excited. Even Blypp looked intent and almost happy. Of course, that was just silly! Snakes couldn't be happy! Serpents were always just apathetic and unbothered with the world around them. However, he quivered a bit between her bosoms. She took a step in and looked around, anxiously, as a person approached her with a greeting hand. "Noel, ma'am?"

The voice called to Lycca and pulled her attention from the anxiety to the woman in front of her. "Y-Yes ma'am?"

"Oh good, you're here.. though you really don't look all that impressive. Oh well, who am I to judge. My dearest Barney Flare is waiting on you! Any second later and you would have been late! Tsk, tsk! You know time is everything!" And the short woman went on and on, as she led Lycca to the area of said competition. A couple of other were with her, but none looked so happy.

The competitors themselves looked like they'd have been done two hours ago if Lycca hadn't been JUST ON TIME. She felt immediately uncomfortable, but was ushered to her seat, nonetheless!

So each dish was to be prepped. The "GO" shouted among the civilians. Permission was granted and ONWARDS she looked as they made their meals. The chicken was ready and casseroles and stew were made. It all looked quite delicious. But of course, now came the best part! What kind of competition would it be, without the food judgment!? It was time to taste test and MAN was Lycca excited for it! She couldn't wait to try it out. Little did she know she would grow to regret the decision.

The first dish was delicious. The food melted in her mouth faster than warm butter, but tasted so much better than that. Lycca could have eaten it all- had it not been for the fact she was supposed to be JUDGING the food, not eating it. So the test went well.. ONTO THE NEXT CONTESTANT!

The second taste was something she dreaded. The food had looked great, as if made purely of heaven's essence, however... Lycca took a bite and chewed. Her reaction seemed unfazed, before she slowly look displeased. She passed out right there. No time to even vomit. The taste was terrible enough to knock her right out! Had she remained conscious, surely she would have vomited!

It took a whole ten minutes to get her to recover (and some magic to boot). Lycca barely managed to win against that bad spinach-chicken casserole, but she was fine. The last one had to be tasted!

The last bowl had been served for testing, while all three cooks looked at her with hopeful eyes. Why the second chef remained there, she couldn't be sure, after all he HAD knocked her out (maybe he thought his skills were that amazing?) ANYWAYS, Lycca chewed up the food half-hesitantly. Luckily, this wasn't the grossest thing she'd ever tasted. The flavor was actually amazing! So the decision had to be made. Mentally, she played eenie-minie-moe and LOW AND BEHOLD! The third chef was the winner (probably from comparison of the terrible second chef). The other two left heart-broken and Lycca was then given a praising hug from Barney and OFF she went! Her job was done.
