Kami had just finished a mission and arrived back at the guild. He went back to the mission board to find one with a little more action. He looked across the board for D rank missions. Then Burdock showed him a mission where he gets to fish. Kami took it and headed back to Hargeon town. When he arrived he was looking for a man named Reily. Kami began to ask around Hargeon to see if anyone knew the man he was looking for. After hours of walking he began to give up. then he walked around the corner and saw an old man sitting on a crate and approached him. Kami assumed it was the old man he was looking for and approached him Reily realized Kami was the mage for the mission and put on his clothes to go fishing. "Are you ready?" Kami nodded with agreement and they walked to the store to buy some fishing rods.

Fisherman Reily bought Kami a fishing rod and led him to the sea. Reily began to sigh as a sign of boredom. Kami began to make conversation. "Do you fish often sir?" 'No.' My wife just died and I have been really depressed. "What's your favorite type of fish?" "Salmon." Reily casted his rod in a mannered fashion. "I haven't been able to catch salmon in years." Kami smiled and replied stating that he can catch a salmon. The two men bet 2k that he could catch a salmon. "Your on." Kami dived into the ocean swimming towards the bottom. He spotted a salmon and went to attack it and bring it to Reily. He watched as the fish swiftly swam away back into hiding. He chased it only to end up hitting his head on a rock. Reily yelled down to Kami to tell him something. Kami followed the bubble and popped it. Reily said if Kami finds any more fish for him to bring them to him.

Kami fought eels and fish looking for the famous salmon that Reily wanted. "I can't find it anywhere." Kami began to fight eels and was constantly electrocuted. Then he swam lower to the very bottom and found a swarm of weak fish. He fought them one by one. hoping to find a salmon. Kami was almost out of air and was forced to swim back to the top. "Told you that they aren't in the sea." Kami refused to give up. He brought Burdock down to the bottom of the sea to ask the fish where the salmon was. The fish told him that the Salmon has went into hiding for years and probably in a hidden corner. Kami continued to look for this fish desperately in need for the money. Kami thought that he could not find the fish because he did not know enough information about it. He did not even know what it looked like. He put his two dead fish in his bucket and prepared to leave with Burdock.

Kami swam back to Reily due to the time getting late. Reily was still lonely and Kami realized he spent so much time with the salmon he forgot Reily. Then Reily bursted out laughing as if he was holding it in for hours. He was very entertained by Kami's travel into the bottom of the ocean. Kami lives at the alpha dog dorms but did not complete his mission yet. Reily invited Kami to stay with him and complete the mission the next day. Kami agreed and slept with Burdock in Reily's mansion. Kami awoke early to begin the mission again. He saw a note stating that Reily does not wake up until the afternoon and frowned upon it. He walked around exploring the house and its contents. He made chocolate for breakfast and set out to explore Hargeon town by himself. He left his bag of only two fish in the living room.

Kami went to the library to read up on salmons. He discovered that salmons are attracted to tiny specs of coral reefs. Kami also read that they are afraid of larger fish and will run away from them. Kami went back into the ocean without burdock and covered himself with coral reef. He saw that salmon come out so he chased it and fought it. He caught the salmon and swam back up. He brought the fish back to the mansion to show Reily. Reily woke up and stared at the fish with large eyes. "You are smart I am very surprised you caught this salmon." Reily walked back to the water with me and sat down to fish. "If you can get me an electric eel I will give you my fishing rod." Kami did not know why he would offer his fishing rod but took the bet anyway.

When Kami went back to the house to get Burdock he realized the salmon was still alive and trying to escape. He finished the salmon and went to get Burdock. Burdock woke up and came with Kami to get the eel. Kami easily defeated the eel brining it back to Reily. He placed his rod on the ground and told Kami to claim it. Kami lifted it up and attempted to fish with it. He could not catch any fish. "I will teach you how to fish tomorrow Kami for now lets go home to sleep." Kami went back with Reily to sleep and prepare for his fishing lessons. Kami realized that Reily has been very happy since he arrived and his mission is almost complete. In the morning Kami went out to eat chocolate cake with hot chocolate. He went to read a book about fishing. He did not favor that way of fishing because it is too stationary. He preferred fighting the fish testing their abilities.

Kami went back to the mansion to wake up Rielly and begin his fishing lessons. Rielly walked with Kami to the docks and casted his rod into the ocean. "You use illusion magic right?" "Shoot you psychic blast into the ocean and cause ripples." "Normally fisherman throw large rocks to cause ripples in the water." Kami placed his hands together and generated his blast. He threw the blast into the oceans causing hundreds of ripples. Kami realized that the shadow of fish were now more visible and he threw the fishing rod into the largest ripple. He felt a tug and pulled back reeling the fish in. Rielly felt proud of Kami learning so quickly and was amazed at the power of illusion magic. Kami pulled out a medium sized fish with sweat rushing down his head. "The illusion magic drains you huh? Ok your lessons are over" Kami realized how easy it was to fish and went back to the house to tell Burdock.

Kami arrived at the estate only to find Burdock sleeping. He looked outside and realized it was already night. He went to bed and slept until the next morning. He awoke and realized that Reily was not in his bed that morning. He looked all around the house for Reily and could not find him. He found a room dedicated to Reily's wife. He saw how young she was and promised her that he would get Reily back into spirit. He walked off to the docks to fish and spotted Reily fishing. "Kami you have inspired me to fish again." Kami looked over to his bucket and saw over a dozen fish. Kami asked to sit and fish with Reily so Reily agreed. Kami used blast and casted ripples in the sea. Kami casted his rod and caught one fish. "That was the last one Kami." Kami noticed a sudden motivation and happiness in Reily'a eyes.

Reily was knocked out after fishing all day. Reily collasped and fell onto the floor. Kami lifted him up and brought him to the mansion. Kami placed Reily on his bed and went back out for a walk. He realized that the old man was almost completely uplifted in spirit. Once the old man is completely satisfied and happy Kami's mission will be complete. Kami saw a field near Hargeon and went their to practive his skills. He punched the trees and practiced target training on birds. He was felt a sudden motivation to finally end his mission. Kami finally returned to the mansion when the breeze was at its peak and the night slowly turned to day. Before going to his room he checked to see if Reily was asleep. After confirming himself he watched the sun arise slowly through his window and bundled himself in his blanket. Kami went to sleep determined to complete his mission the next day.

Kami arose along with Burdock to end his mission. He grabbed Reily and placed him at the docks. Reily understandingly casted his rod as he usually did with a smile. Kami then realized the one thing Reily was missing. Kami left and came back with ten fisherman. "You were depressed because you lacked socialization." Reily began to have an extremely detailed conversation with the fisherman. Burdock also jumped into the conversation and at random periods they would all burst out laughing. Kami did not hear the conversation. He knew that talking was enough. Kami casted his rod and caught two fish placing them in his bucket. After the end of the conversation Reily approached Kami. "Thank you your curiosity and will inspired me to be the happy man I once was." "You did not only fish with me, but you gave me fishing buddies for life." Kami told Reily there was no apology needed and flew off carried by Burdock. "Burdock, at this rate we are helping people and will be able to soon defeat Taihele." Burdock told Kami that he could not complete any more missions until C rank. "Looks like I'll have to talk to master Enma." "We will keep this fish as a symbol of the first day we inspired a man."
